Competition Models: Kayla Alexander & Cyontaishia Cunningham

Brianna Armstrong is a vivacious African American artist who was born in the Windy City of Chicago, IL and raised in Lexington, KY. She is currently working on her BFA degree at the University of Kentucky while majoring in art studio. In 2016, Ms. Armstrong founded her own art business: BriannaMarieArt. In 2019 Brianna displayed her first exhibition, ‘Royalty with the Riches’, at The Carnegie Classics: The Color Purple and for LexArts Gallery Hop Reception at the Carnegie Center.  Ms. Armstrong was a panelist for Being A Minority in Creative Spaces, won the 7th Annual Young Artist Competition Award along with the Still We Rise Award. Brianna’s goal in her current work is to tell the story for those who are unable to, celebrate black lives unapologetically, and embrace the power and sensuality that comes with being a woman. Armstrong believes that it’s important to remember those who have come before us as well as those with us now.
