CLASSES ARE OPEN TO AGES 13 AND UP, INCLUDING ADULTS

Held at the Charles Young Center,  540 East 3rd Street, Lexington, KY

Hand Sewing with Soreyda Benedit-Begley and Assistant Deborah Majeed       Mondays, 6-8 pm
Learn the fundamentals of hand -sewing by creating a sample piece using a variety of stitches–back and forth, chain stitch, hemming, button sewing and more. More info HERE

Be Bold Workshop-Dare to be Bold

The Be Bold Workshop will be held on November 1, 2014 for girls 9 to 18. It will feature inspirational speakers sharing on a variety of topics. Soreyda will be in charge of organizing the fashion show. It will be held at the University of Kentucky Student Center,

Day of the Dead Festival: Saturday, November 1, 5-9 PM
The LASC’s annual Day of the Dead exhibition brings together the rich visual traditions of this holiday that celebrates the memories of family, friends and other public figures. Presented in conjunction with our Day of the Dead Festival, this annual exhibition features artists of Latino heritage or artists that make work in response to the Mexican celebration Dia de los Muertos.
