For 30 years, I have created opportunities for people to move, expand, learn, create, explore, evolve, achieve and be healthy as founder of several small companies and visionary projects. My background: Writing, design, dance, small business marketing, Feldenkrais, cultural arts, spiritual studies, adventure travel and parenting. My sewing career began with an apron at age 8 via 4-H Club and my mother’s treadle sewing machine. The first machine I owned on my own was stolen while I was carrying my belongings to the 7th floor of a new apartment in Manhattan's Lower East Side. I have always sewn. I became interested in fashion design per se while stranded in rural Ohio for 2 weeks -- the only thing on television was Project Runway. Since then it has become a weekly habit to watch Paris and New York Fashion week online and visit the websites of favorite designers, including, among many others: Valentino, Nicole Miller, Carolina Herrera, Monique Lhuillier, Marchesa, and Schiaparelli.
